What is E-campaign

Under the e-campaign tab of the compliance portal, information received from various sources related to the taxpayer is displayed for seeking feedback. The taxpayer is required to submit responses on each information item to complete the process of submission of response. following e-campaign functionalities are available.

  • *E-campaign-significant transaction
  • *E-campaign -Non-filling of return
  • *E-campaign-High Value Transactions

What is the Importance of compliance portal?

This portal helps an assessee to know the details of his/her financial transactions available with the Income tax Department and ensuring necessary compliance thereof.

What do we mean by SFT and What are its various types?

Specified financial transactions (SFT) mean certain financial transactions that are responding by certain entities to the Income-tax department or which can be said to be in the domain of the Income Tax Department in relation to an assessee.

Various types of SFT:

  • 1.SFT-001: Purchase of bank drafts or pay orders in cash -amount aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 2.SFT-002: purchase of pre-paid instruments in cash amount aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 3.SFT-003:03A-cash deposit in the current account -fifty lakh rupees or more in a financial year. 03B-Withdrawals in current account-fifty lakh or more in a financial year.
  • 4.SFT-004: Cash deposit in account other than current account aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 5.SFT-005: Time deposit aggregating to ten lakh rupees.
  • 6.SFT-006: Payment for credit card one lakh rupees or more in cash, or ten lakh rupees or more by any other mode.
  • 7.SFT-007: Purchase of debentures aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 8.SFT-008: Purchase of shares amount aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 9.SFT-009: Buyback of shares amount or value aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 10.SFT-010: Purchase of mutual fund units amount aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more in a financial year.
  • 11.SFT-011: Purchase of foreign currency amount aggregating to ten lakh rupees or more during a financial year.
  • 12.SFT-012: Purchase or sale of immovable property an amount of thirty lakh rupees or more or valued by the stamp valuation authority.
  • 13.SFT-013: cash payment for goods and services receipt of cash payment exceeding two lakh rupees for sale.
  • 14.SFT-014: Cash deposits during a specified period -9th Nov.2016 to 30th Dec 2016 aggregating to (i) twelve lakh fifty thousand rupees or more, in one or more current account of a person or (ii) two lakh fifty thousand rupees or more, in one or more accounts (other than a current account )of a person.
