  • Must be aged between 19-55 years of age
  • Language skills should be CLB 4
  • Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent

  • Must have the intention to live and work in New Brunswick

Eligibility NB Criteria for Strategic Initiative Stream

The NB Strategic Initiative Stream is for French-speaking workers. The applicants must have a connection to New Brunswick in any of the following three ways: 

  • Have a job invitation from an employer in Brunswick
  • Visited New Brunswick for exploration
  • Has a direct invitation by the New Brunswick province

Other requirements include: 

  1. CLB 5 in French
  2. Must have a connection to New Brunswick
  3. Must have $12,999 or more
  4. The rest is the same as for the NB Skilled Worker Stream

Eligibility Criteria for NB Express Entry Stream

The NB Express Entry Stream is for workers with an Express Entry profile. Under this category, New Brunswick will randomly send invites to candidates depending on their needs.

If invited, you’ll receive a Letter of Interest from New Brunswick. You will also need to create your INB profile and submit an EOI (Expression of Interest)

The requirements include: 

  • Must be between 22 and 55 Years of age
  • Language skills; CLB 7
  • Must have a Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent
  • 1 Year working experience in NOC B, O, or A
  • Must have an intention to live and work in New Brunswick
  • Must have $12,990 or more

Eligibility Criteria for NB Business Immigration Stream

The NB Business Immigration Stream is for experienced business persons who are ready and willing to do business and permanently live in the province of New Brunswick.

The PETL Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labor Department will choose the type of business to start or purchase depending on the economic status of the New Brunswick province.

The requirements include: 

  • The foreign business entrepreneur must be between 21 and 59 Years of age
  • Language skill; CLB 5
  • Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent
  • Must have 3 Years of working experience in a managerial position within the last 5 Years
  • Businesspersons must own at least 51% of the business
  • Must have an intention to live and do business in New Brunswick
  • Should have CAD 150,000
